  • Managing launch documentation and content plans for the Cloud Billing Budget API, Cloud Billing Budgets, and Anomaly Detection features.

Catchy Agency - API Technical Writer

  •  Consulted J.P. Morgan on the development and launch of their new API Developer Portal. J.P. Morgan’s APIs process over 50% of e-commerce transactions in the US, moving more than $8 trillion in payments per day, but sparse technical resources led to avoidable support tickets and frustrated developers. The goal of this project was to modernize the developer experience by creating a portal containing developer guides, API reference material, and a developer sandbox.

    • Created comprehensive content guidelines, roadmaps, and project schedules and established a robust information architecture and content strategy.

    • Filled J.P. Morgan’s resource gap in technical writing by performing subject matter expert (SME) interviews and authoring extensive content, including onboarding guides, tutorials, code samples, and API reference material.

    • Mentored J.P. Morgan’s technical writers in a weekly call and laid out a framework for their technical communications by creating an SME interview guide, establishing a content intake process, creating content templates, and writing a Developer Portal style guide.

  • Successfully met challenging project timelines and quality standards, receiving 2 teamwork awards and 1 spot bonus.

  • Mentored Catchy Agency writers by holding weekly check-ins and creating learning materials, QA checklists, and guides to enhance their technical aptitude and writing skills.

Google - Technical Writer, Android Developer Relations

DECEMBER 2021 - MARCH 2023

  • Created superior developer experiences and resources for the world's largest developer community of approximately 13 million users.

  • Worked as the only technical writer on the release of the cross-device SDK. This project was one of Google's top three company-level priorities for 2022. As part of this large project, I strategized and executed a comprehensive content plan, created and published a site landing page and extensive developer guide, and co-authored a sample application and API reference documentation with the lead engineer.

  • Managed all connectivity and multi-device experience documentation, including Bluetooth, VPN, ultra-wideband, Wi-Fi, and the Google Cast SDK.

  • Performed highly as the only technical writer on the multi-device experience team of over 350 engineers, receiving 6 peer bonuses and 1 spot bonus.

  • Cultivated community within the company through various involvements, including creating and leading a team book club, volunteering for mixed-heritage week, and editing videos for Burning Pen, our annual conference for technical writers across Alphabet.

  • Collaborated with my coworker to develop Technical Writing Suite, a widget that plugs into Google Docs and automates the transition from plain text to Markdown syntax. Teams across the company now use this tool.

  • Developed Android Antenna, a data dashboard that tracked developer sentiment of Android documentation based on posts and comments on Stack Overflow and Reddit. We used this data to determine gaps and common areas of confusion in the documentation and prioritized the team’s workload accordingly.

Google - Technical Writer, Jigsaw

During my time at Google, I took on an additional part-time job with Jigsaw, a unit within Google that explores threats to open societies and builds scalable solutions. I worked on Outline, a product committed to reducing censorship and protecting participation in the global internet. Outline makes it easy for users to set up their own VPN and share it with their network for safer, more resilient access to the open internet. I worked on the strategy and execution of help center documentation and FAQs.
